Bare Metal — FAQs
What is Bare Metal best for?
AI, ML, virtualization, large databases and HPC.
Is it managed?
Management is available as an uplift — patching, monitoring, backups and incident response. Without it you get root or administrator access and it is yours to run.
Can I move up later?
Yes. Memory, cores and disk can be raised on the same server, usually within the hour, with no rebuild and no new IP address. Moving between tiers is a migration we handle for you.
Do you offer GPUs on this tier?
Yes, on request. GPU builds are quoted individually rather than priced from the configurator, so tell us the workload and we will come back with a specification and a figure.
